Hi, I’m Lisa Edwards,
the proud owner of Posh Pooches – where it all began with a fluffy little adventure eight years ago!
It all started when we brought home Rusty, our mischievous cockerpoo. I quickly discovered his gorgeous coat needed grooming every 4–6 weeks to keep him looking his best (and to avoid him turning into a walking tumbleweed). Not long after, along came Dexter, our second cockerpoo, doubling the fluff and the grooming challenge!

Determined to tackle the grooming myself, I spent countless evenings researching, watching tutorials, and practicing my newfound skills. Rusty and Dexter became my adorable guinea pigs, patiently sitting through my experiments (and the occasional wonky haircut).
One day, during a dog walk, another dog owner admired their polished look and asked who groomed them. When I said it was me, she asked if I’d groom her dog too. Word spread like wildfire among the local dog community, and within six months, I took the leap, left my day job, and transformed a humble shed into my first grooming space. Armed with basic tools and a big dream, Posh Pooches was born!
Now, eight years later, I’m so proud of how far we’ve come. What started as a passion project has grown into a thriving business where I get to pamper pooches every day. Rusty and Dexter are still by my side – my inspiration, my furry muses, and my toughest critics (especially when treats are involved).
